February 24, 2010
Hello!
Another month has flown by! Hopefully, spring is
just around the corner.
Thank you for your support in response to my dismal
e-mail. It's been nice to see many of you who I haven't seen in awhile
due to your life situations. I am doing my best to maintain and I'm
acting like we will continue to stay open. I continue to get new
merchandise as money allows.
We have some really neat new things ordered for the March
6th Open House. Put this date on your calendar so you can stop by and
try the new products. I am really excited!
We just got a new shipment of red tape. I got
regular size rolls (5 yds) as well as the 36 yd. rolls. New preordered
papers should be arriving in the next couple of weeks. I ordered several
of the new Bo Bunny lines. Northwoods butterfly stamps and a new board
should be arriving any day. If you haven't been by, you haven't seen the
Outlines stamps. We also received an Asian board from Great Impressions.
On the suggestion from some of my
customers, we are planning our first 12 Hour Crop on March 13, 2010 from
9am-9pm. It will be $25 and will provide the following: lunch and
light snacks, hourly door prizes, a goody bag, workspace (2 people per table).
You will need to provide
your own drinks and can go out for dinner, if you desire.
You will need to make a
paid reservation as soon as possible(no later than March 11).
Space is limited to approximately 15. If we run over, I will start a
waiting list. Spaces wil be honored on a first come, first serve basis
as you pay.
Feel free to call if you
have any questions.
We have many new classes on the schedule this
month.
Debi is doing her regular Beginning Cricut class
(extended to 2 1/2 hours) as well as an Intermediate Cricut class (using the
pens and the Wildcard cartridge). She has also planned a Disney layout
using the Cricut. She will be continuing the "All About Me"
scrapbook class and has a 2 page Easter Layout scheduled.
Elizabeth will be having a Beginning Copic Marker class.
If you already have some of the markers, she encourages you to bring them to
class so you won't have to wait to use the various colors. You will be
practicing blending and how to use these in your cards and
scrapbook pages.
Betty is doing some great Easter cards using quilling
and the medallion technique.
Dianne has rescheduled her personalized notebook class.
These make great inexpensive gifts for everyone!
Alison has two new classes scheduled. One is a
stitched card(bring a piercing tool and piercing mat) and
the other is Fun with Stencils.
Lenora's etching on glass class was such a hit that we
have rescheduled another one for this month. These make great quick
gifts for any occasion!
She will also be teaching the Bleach Technique.
You can use this in several different ways and it makes a very interesting
card. The pergamano project which is usually on the second Saturday
has been changed to the fourth Saturday because of the crop. Be sure
to mark this change on your calendar. If you need to take the
Pergamano Beginner's class, let me know.
A totally new class we're offering is Beginning
Woodburning. Stop by to see the sample and get the supply list.
Don't forget that I can do a Stamping 101 class any time
as long as I'm not tied up in another class. I can do a morning class
from 10-12am on weekdays or 6:30-8:30pm in the evening. This applies
to any other classes I teach.
I have scheduled Easter cards, the Butterfly Book, and a
Spring Notecard Portfolio.
We had such great attendance at the last Artlenz Workshops in January that we have scheduled three new Artlenz classes for April 23 and 24.
There are only 8 slots per class so be sure to sign up
and prepay for these classes as soon as possible. Classes are $35
each. If you take all three classes, you will be charged only $30
per class--a $15 savings! Let me know if you want any of their
stamps or products and I will preorder them so you won't have to pay
shipping; they can bring them when they come to Fayetteville.
Just a reminder: If you are interested in taking
a class, please be sure to sign up and prepay so we know how many kits
to prepare. Several people have signed up and then don't show which
is unfair to the instructor. It takes a long time to prepare for
classes. If you know you can't make it, please give us a call.
Well, I guess that's about it for now.
I'll send updates as merchandise arrives and if classes are added.
Take care. Hope to see you soon.
Nancy
